As an activist, I have been inspired by many people, Yoko Ono and John Lennon are my star.
I sent books and letter to Dakota House, where Yoko is living, and the Dakota rejected the gift.
Here I put the letter with gratitude to Megumi Hirokawa who translated my original Japanese to English with sweetness.
アクティビストとしての私に大きな影響を与えている人にオノ・ヨーコさんとジョン・レノンさんがいます。
小中の頃にはじめてヨーコさんを知り、そこからジョンを知る流れになりました。
80歳を超えたヨーコさんに感謝を伝えたいなと、書籍と共にお手紙を送りました。
ジョンが暗殺されたダコタハウスにヨーコさんが住んでいることだけ知っていて、部屋番号なしでお送りしたところ、ダコタハウスからreject（拒否）されて、また手元に戻ってきています。
残念なのと、美しい訳をしてくれためぐちゃんへの感謝を込め公開します。

Letter to Yoko Ono
Dear Yoko Ono,
Hello, my name is Remi Fujii from Japan. I’m writing a letter to you 32 years after the first one, when I was 14.
I sent it to a Japanese TV station that broadcasted you visiting Japan for the greening of the world tour.
I went on a tour at Tokyo Dome.
Now I’m 46 years old, a non-violent and earth activist. I am also a life coach assisting people to find their own bliss. Wearing two hats is so natural to me, as my mission is to support the beauty of the world and people. My parents were Zenkyōtō peace activists, I have been much inspired by you and John. Your activism and art always show me a benchmark for my activism, just as for so many others.
As a single mother with one boy, I strongly believe that peace in the world begins in our everyday life, within ourselves. This is why my activism is centered on spreading seeds of hope. Along with another activist, Kai Sawyer, a Japanese-American advocate for non-violence and coexistence with nature, I’m involved in a group called Tokyo Urban Permaculture, which aims for integrating ideas from Zen Buddhism, social change, gift ecology, and Nonviolent Communication with permaculture.
I enclosed Kai’s message for you, too.
Two books enclosed with this letter were published with an intention to spread wonderful ideas we found for making the world a better place. After the first book was published, we received a request from a young, energetic publisher. They suggested recreating the book into an art book, specifically for children. It has everything that future children should know for living, like the Whole Earth Catalog.
The publisher’s name is Two Virgines, inspired by you and John, as you can assume. The children’s book has just finished with translation, and is scheduled to release in the US from Parallax Press, sometime between 2022 and 2023.
The reason why I’m sending this letter with these books is to inform you that the seeds of inspiration you planted have flourished in such a beautiful way, far beyond the reach of your imagination.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your enduring efforts to send a message for peace. As your message has cultivated my hope, I’m writing this message with warmth and appreciation, as if I were your daughter.
I came upon you at a young age, reading a small piece of old newspaper that I found in the closet. It was on Fluxus, and I fell in love with your work. When I was in high school, I skipped class just to visit your exhibition in Aoyama. Later years, I also found you with joy in the collection of Fluxus at a museum in Berlin.
I have the deepest respect for your art, in which I sense the unfailing “Yes” to peace. I wonder if it is rooted in your war experience. “Imagine” is a masterpiece of your art. When we talk about peace in Japan, this song is often played in the background. I feel appreciation that your prayer for peace has spread the world and taken root back here.

オノ・ヨーコさんへの手紙
洋子さんに手紙を書くのは二度目になります。
一度目は14歳の頃でした。32年ぶりにお手紙を書いています。
greening of the world tourで日本に来ているあなたがTVに出ていて、TV局宛にお手紙を送ることができました。
はじめて洋子さんのことを知ったのは、家の押し入れで古い新聞の小さな記事を見つけたことでした。
フラクサスについて書かれていて、そこからあなたのアートワークを追い、高校を休んで青山の個展に行ったり、ベルリンの美術館でフラクサスのヒストリーの中にあるあなたの活動を見ていました。
戦争を経験しているあなたの一貫した「yes」がにじむ指示詩が好きで、imagineをその延長として、いつも大切に思っています。
私は今46歳で、非暴力と環境の活動家と、人が本質的な幸せとつながり世界に幸せが増えていくためのライフコーチをしています。
Supporting the beauty of the world and peopleがミッションで、活動家であることとコーチであることは自分の中で自然な両立です。
両親が全共闘の平和活動家であったこともあるし、yokoとjohnの活動の影響もとても大きいです。
ふたりの平和活動とアートが常に私のベンチマーク（他のとてもたくさんの人がそうであるように）
男児を育てるシングルマザーとして、日常生活から暴力性がなくなることで、世界平和をつくれると信じています。
そんな願いから、ソーヤー海という日本とアメリカのハーフのアクティビスト（共生革命家）と東京アーバンパーマカルチャーという、パーマカルチャー・禅・社会変革・ギフトエコロジー・NVCをハイブリッドした希望の世界観を広める活動をしています。
お送りした二冊の本は、その世界観を大人向けと子供向けにした本です。
大人向けの本を出版した後、新しくて元気な出版社が来て、未来を生きる子供達のwhole earth catalogのような「生きるために本質的なすべてがのっているアートブック」を作りたいとお話がありました。
出版社の名前はtwo virgins. 創業者が、やはりJohn & yokoの志をついでいます。
子供向けの方は、翻訳が終わり、アメリカでparalaxから2022から2023年にかけて出版予定です。
洋子さんが絶対知り得ないところで、このような派生が起きていることをお伝えしたくてメッセージと本をお送りさせていただきました。
たくさんのご苦労があったことを知っています。
諦めずに精力的に、信じたことを伝え続けることをやめないでくれてありがとう。
